History

Branch 4 of the Faculty of Science was established in Zahle pursuant to Decree No. 540 dated 9 May 1983 and was expanded to include specializations in the bachelor’s degree in both French and English.
Between 1982 and 1993, the faculty was administratively affiliated with the Faculty of Science - Branch 2 and then acquired the status of a branch in 1993.
Baalbek Section is affiliated with the Faculty of Science - Branch 4, where first-year students study for a bachelor's degree in the faculty's specializations.
